Glen Chorny (born July 8, 1985 ) is a professional Canadian poker player .

Poker career

Chorny plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname choron . Since 2008 he has been taking part in renowned live tournaments .

In January 2008, Chorny finished 13th in the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) as part of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas for $ 80,000 in prize money. Two weeks later, he won the Pot Limit Omaha Championship in Tunica for around $ 80,000. In mid-April 2008, Chorny secured the EPT title in Monte-Carlo . After qualifying for $ 700 through PokerStars , he beat 841 other players and received a prize of over two million euros . At the end of June 2008 , Chorny was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and cashed in a tournament in the No Limit Hold'em variant .
