Galen Hall (* 23. January 1986 in Pasadena , California ) is a professional American poker players and hedge funds - Manager .

Personal

Hall grew up as an only child in Pasadena. His parents both have Ph.D. ; his father is a professor of civil engineering at the California Institute of Technology ; his mother was vice president of a pharmaceutical company for many years . Hall studied Political Science at the University of California at Berkeley and attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business after graduating in 2008 . He lives in Stanford .

Poker career

Hall played online from May 2008 to “ Black Friday ” on April 15, 2011 under the nicknames GasparLeMarc ( PokerStars ) , HU 4 LULZ ( Full Tilt Poker ) and Turk_Malloy (Absolute Poker) . His online poker tournament revenues are in excess of $ 1 million . Since 2009, Hall has also been taking part in renowned live tournaments .

In early June 2009 Hall was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. In January 2011, he won the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures (PCA) Main Event in the Bahamas with a prize of 2.3 million US dollars. The tournament took place as part of the European Poker Tour and had a field of 1560 players.
