Robertus HB "Rob" Hollink (born March 27, 1962 in Enschede ) is a professional Dutch poker player .

Personal

Hollink played tennis , soccer, and basketball in his youth until he was stopped by an injury. He then studied mathematics and economics . Hollink lives in Groningen .

Poker career

Hollink started playing poker in casinos . Since 1999 he has been taking part in renowned live tournaments . He plays online under the nickname batoelrob .

In May 2001 Hollink was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas and came into the money in a tournament of the Omaha Hi-Lo Split Eight or Better variant . In mid-March 2005 he won the main event of the European Poker Tour in Monte-Carlo . For this he prevailed against 210 other players and received a prize of 635,000 euros . About one month later reached Hollink the Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic the World Poker Tour final table and finished the tournament in fifth place for more than 375,000 US dollars . In the 2008 WSOP won Hollink at the World Championships in Limit Hold'em and received nearly $ 500,000 prize money as well as the first Dutchman a bracelet . At the beginning of May 2017 he won the high roller event of the World Poker Tour in Amsterdam with almost 140,000 euros in prize money.
