Manig Löser (born December 26, 1988 in Bad Homburg in front of the height ) is a professional German poker player .

Löser has earned more than 11 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments , making him one of the most successful German poker players . His biggest success so far was winning the Main Event of the Triton Series Super High Roller in July 2017 as well as the Main Event of the European Poker Tour in May of 2019.

Personal

Löser comes from Bad Homburg vor der Höhe . He was dating the poker players Jamila von Perger and Kristen Bicknell . Löser lives in Brighton .

Poker career

Career

Löser has been playing online since April 2007 under the nicknames swordfish007 ( PokerStars ) and liangmannu ( partypoker ) . He has online tournament earnings of over 1.5 million US dollars have. Loser received his highest online prize money to date on partypoker in mid-May 2018 when he finished fifth in the Powerfest championship event , which was paid for at $ 277,750. Since 2010, Löser has also been taking part in renowned live tournaments .

In July 2010, Löser was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and was the second-best German in the main event in 178th place for almost 50,000 US dollars in prize money. On August 1, 2010, he won the main event of the European Masters of Poker on Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, with a prize of almost 50,000 euros . At the World Series of Poker Europe held in London in September 2010 , he cashed twice in the No Limit Hold'em variant . In mid-March 2011, Löser reached the final table at the main event of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour and finished the tournament in second place for the equivalent of more than US $ 100,000 in prize money. In January 2013 he finished 16th in the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) as part of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures in the Bahamas for $ 67,000. At the 2013 WSOP , Löser narrowly missed winning a bracelet and finished second in a Six-Handed Hold'em event for more than $ 200,000 in prize money. A year later, he cashed seven times at the WSOP . In mid-July 2017, Löser won the main event of the Triton Super High Roller Series in Budva, Montenegro, and received his highest prize money to date of more than 2 million US dollars. At the beginning of February 2018 he finished second in the A $ 100,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne for the equivalent of just under 450,000 US dollars. In December 2018, Löser won a high roller event at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and received around $ 320,000 from a deal with Elio Fox . At the end of January 2019, after losing heads-up to Toby Lewis , Löser finished second in the A $ 50,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions and secured more than 770,000 Australian dollars in prize money . In early May 2019, Löser won the EPT Main Event in Monte-Carlo and received more than 600,000 euros through a deal, breaking the $ 10 million mark in live tournament prize money.
