Toby Lewis (born November 13, 1989 in Hampshire ) is a professional British poker player from England .

Poker career

Lewis started playing poker in college . He plays online under the nicknames 810ofclubs ( PokerStars and Winamax ) , sexystuff1989 ( Full Tilt Poker ) , eightenclubs ( partypoker ) , Moorman1Donk (PokerStars.FR) , eightenofclub (iPoker) and TobyLewis ( 888poker ) . Many of his nicknames are related to the poker hand 8 ♣ 10 ♣ . In 2011, Lewis was temporarily number two in the PocketFives ranking, which lists the most successful online poker tournament players worldwide. Since 2009 he has also been taking part in renowned live tournaments .

At the beginning of December 2009, Lewis made it into the money for the first time at the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Prague and for his 28th place received prize money of 12,800 euros . In September 2010, he won the EPT Main Event in Vilamoura . For this he prevailed against 383 other players and received a prize of just under 470,000 euros. At the end of September 2010, Lewis also won an EPT side event in London , securing almost £ 70,000 . In June 2011 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in the money in two tournaments in variants of Texas Hold'em . At the beginning of May 2012, Lewis finished second behind Dan Smith at an EPT event in Monte-Carlo for around 130,000 euros in prize money. In February 2013 Lewis sat at the final table of the Main Event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in Los Angeles , finishing in sixth place for nearly 200,000 US dollars . In mid-May 2013, he finished fifth at the EPT High Roller in Monte-Carlo for 232,400 euros in prize money. In early September 2014, Lewis reached the final table of the WPT Main Event again, finishing fourth in Kyrenia for more than $ 100,000. At the 2015 WSOP , he reached the sixth day of the main event and was eliminated there in 53rd place for just under $ 140,000. In January 2016, Lewis placed at the final table of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures Main Event in the Bahamas , finishing fourth for more than $ 250,000 in prize money. In early February 2018 he won the main event of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne . For this, Lewis prevailed against a field of 800 participants and secured a prize of just under 1.2 million dollars due to a deal with Stefan Huber and Espen Solaas . In March 2018, Lewis finished second at the WPT Main Event in Los Angeles for around $ 600,000. In January 2019, he finished second in the A $ 25,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions and received prize money of almost 800,000 Australian dollars due to a deal with Rainer Kempe . A few days later, Lewis prevailed in the same place in the A $ 50,000 Challenge and secured around 820,000 Australian dollars.

Overall, Lewis has made more than $ 6.5 million in poker playing live tournaments.
