Poker career

Geshkenbein plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname Beyn . Since 2009 he has been taking part in renowned live tournaments .

Geshkenbein had his first success in a live tournament in late August 2009 on the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) in Macau . He prevailed against 63 other players in the high roller event and received a prize money equivalent to almost 270,000 US dollars . In October 2009 he won the PKR Heads Up Grand Slam in London for $ 120,000. In June 2010 Geshkenbein was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in the money in two tournaments of the No Limit Hold'em variant . At the end of March 2011 he won the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Saalbach-Hinterglemm with a prize of 390,000 euros . During the 2013 WSOP , Geshkenbein announced that he was broke and would end his professional poker career. He played the main event with borrowed money and was eliminated there on the sixth day of the tournament in 62nd place for more than $ 120,000 in prize money. At the end of August 2016, Geshkenbein finished fourth in the Estrellas High Roller at the EPT in Barcelona for just under 150,000 euros. In November 2016, he won the APPT Main Event in Macau and secured a prize money equivalent to just under $ 730,000.

In total, Geshkenbein has earned more than $ 2.5 million in poker in live tournaments. He played several times on the German poker show German High Roller , which is broadcast on Sport1 .
