Gus Greeensmith was a youth goalkeeper for Manchester City and drove karting before he got into rallying . As a kart driver, he competed in the CIK-FIA U18 Kart World Championship in 2012 and drove against well-known names such as Charles Leclerc , Ben Barnicoat and Joey Mawson . He won the British Junior Rally Championship back in 2014 . He was the youngest of 11 drivers in the Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy in 2015.
World Rally Championship (WRC)
At the 2018 Rally Mexico , Gus Greensmith finished 9th with a Ford Fiesta R5 and scored points for the World Rally Championship for the first time . In 2019 and 2020 he competed in the WRC and WRC2 irregularly. Greensmith drove for M-Sport in the WRC2 Pro in 2019 and finished third in the overall standings.
