NGC 3223 = IC 2571 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Antlia in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 119 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 150,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky are the galaxies NGC 3224 and IC 2570 .

The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 2, 1835 .
