I Can Only Imagine is a song by French DJ David Guetta in collaboration with Chris Brown and Lil Wayne . It was first released on Beatport on April 23, 2012 . The song was first performed at the 2012 Grammy Awards . This live version was already on sale in the United States on February 13, 2012.

Actually, Crank It Up with the American singer and rapper Akon was supposed to be the last single from Guetta's album Nothing but the Beat , but after a choice made by Guetta, I Can Only Imagine became the last single.

Music video

Before the official music video was released, a so-called lyric video was released . The correct music video was then made available to the public for the first time on July 2, 2012. It begins with Guetta entering a futuristically designed room. Brown also steps into the picture for a few seconds and begins to dance and sing. As soon as the chorus starts, it is in a room without gravity. After this, Lil Wayne also appears in front of some skateboarders . The scenes all take place in this room. criticism

The song received various reviews. Digital Spy’s Lewis Corner says I Can Only Imagine has all the hallmarks of a David Guetta hit , making it perfect for a mainstream radio station or club night in Ibiza. However, if you compare it to other Guetta's songs like Titanium , the song couldn't keep up by far. He forgave .

Scott Shetler from Pop Crush gave the song a negative rating . The song lacks the energy that the other hits Guettas have. Besides that, the lyrics wouldn't fit the atmosphere. He also suggested that I Can Only Imagine should have treated love rather than lust.
