The John Cabot University , abbr. JCU is a US-based private university based in Rome .

The college, named after the Italian explorer Giovanni Caboto (John Cabot), was founded in 1972. In addition to a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree, it offers students from all over the world several programs for exchange semesters. The language of instruction is English.
