The Kuldīga District (Kuldīgas novads) is located in western Latvia in the Kurzeme Region . The 1756 m² district has 25,823 inhabitants (2014).

geography

The Venta flows through the rural area in a northerly direction and its tributary Abava flows in a westerly direction . Lake Usma is at the northern end of the district .

The district consists of the city of Kuldīga , which is also the administrative center, with 12,034 inhabitants (July 1, 2014) and 13 parishes (pagasts)
