The 103rd Liège – Bastogne – Liège 2017 was a Belgian road bike race . The one-day race started in Liège with a turning point in Bastogne and ended in Ans after 258 km and was held on Sunday , April 23, 2017 . The bike race was part of the UCI WorldTour 2017 and was the 18th of a total of 37 races in this series. The winner of the race was Alejandro Valverde for the fourth time , who countered an attack by the 2013 winner, Daniel Martin , on the finish slope and beat this sprint. He dedicated the victory to the recently deceased Michele Scarponi .

A women's race was also held for the first time. The start was in Bastogne and the finish after 135.5 kilometers in Ans . The bike race was part of the UCI Women's WorldTour 2017 . The winner was Anna van der Breggen , who had previously won the Flèche Wallonne and the Amstel Gold Race . She moved 5 kilometers away from a four-man leading group.
