La Chapelle-Rambaud is a French commune in the department of Haute-Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .
geography
La Chapelle-Rambaud is located at 942 m , west of La Roche-sur-Foron , about 20 kilometers north-northeast of the city of Annecy (as the crow flies). The scattered settlement community extends on the high plateau of Bornes, between the Salève in the northwest and the Bornes Alps in the southeast.
The area of the 4.27 km² municipal area includes a section in the area of the Bornes plateau. The northern part of the area is drained by the Foron and its source streams to the Arve . To the south, the community area extends to the wide, predominantly meadowland high plateau of Bornes. Here, at 957 m, the highest point of La Chapelle-Rambaud is reached. In the far south lies the headwaters of the Daudens, which flows to the south-west to the Fier .
In addition to the actual core around the church, La Chapelle-Rambaud also includes several hamlet settlements and farms, including:

- La Marmotte ( 855 m )
- Le Bois ( 905 m )
Neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Rambaud are Pers-Jussy in the north, Etaux in the east, Évires in the south and Arbusigny in the west.

With 256 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), La Chapelle-Rambaud is one of the smallest communities in the Haute-Savoie department. In the first half of the 20th century the population decreased continuously (1901 La Chapelle-Rambaud had 279 inhabitants). The number of inhabitants has remained at an almost constant level since around 1960, before a significant increase took place from 2000 onwards.

Attractions
The village church of La Chapelle-Rambaud has a 16th century choir and a 17th century statue of St. Blaise .
Economy and Infrastructure
La Chapelle-Rambaud is still a predominantly agricultural village today . There are also some local small businesses. Some of the workers are commuters who work in the larger towns in the area and in the Geneva-Annemasse and Annecy area .
The village is located away from the larger thoroughfares. Road connections exist with La Roche-sur-Foron, Cruseilles , Arbusigny and Évires. The closest connection to the A41 motorway is around 7 km away.
