Lawrence Thomas Poindexter (born December 16, 1959 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American actor and singer .

Life

Larry Poindexter was born and raised in Dallas. He started acting in college. He lived with his family in New York City for a few years , then they moved to Los Angeles . His first job was with Franklin R. Levy and the Catalania Production Group as a stage actor and production coordinator. Because he has co-produced numerous plays in Los Angeles, he received a nomination at the Los Angeles Ovation Awards and at the LA Weekly Awards .
