The men's 1500-meter run at the European Athletics Championships in 1994 was held on August 7th and 9th, 1994 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .
The Spanish middle distance runners achieved a double victory in this competition. European champion was the Olympic champion from 1992 and vice world champion from 1993 Fermín Cacho . Second place went to Isaac Viciosa . Bronze went to the Croatian Branko Zorko .

Record improvement
European champion Fermín Cacho improved the existing EM record in the final on August 9th by 32 hundredths of a second to 3: 35.27 minutes.
Preliminary round

The preliminary round was held in two runs. The first four athletes per run - highlighted in light blue - as well as the four fastest runners - highlighted in light green - qualified for the final. All athletes who qualified for the final over their time came from the faster first heat.
