Lepiku (Tallinn)

Lepiku is a district ( Estonian asum ) of the Estonian capital Tallinn . The district is located in the Pirita district .

The city district today has 1,226 inhabitants (as of May 1, 2010).

The Lepiku area was formerly called Äigrumäe. Before 1870 there were only two or three courtyards there. Only in 1876 was another farm added to the village of Lepiku.

Today the municipality forms the eastern outskirts of Tallinn. Its modern appearance is characterized by numerous single-family homes belonging to the Estonian middle class.
