The Mustamäe ( Mustamäe asum ) district is located in the Mustamäe district of the same name ( Mustamäe linnaosa ) in the Estonian capital Tallinn .

Description and history

With 49,654 inhabitants (as of June 1, 2011), the district is the most populous district of Tallinn. Its area is 0.6 square kilometers.

Mustamäe consists largely of prefabricated Soviet-style buildings that were built in the 1960s and 1970s.
