Pae (in German " Kalkstein [region]") a district ( Estonian asum ) of the Estonian capital Tallinn . It is located in the Lasnamäe district (German "Laaksberg").

description

The city district has 14,058 inhabitants (as of May 1, 2010).

Pae was called Lasnamäe I mikrorajoon in the administrative language during Soviet times . The district dominates - like the entire Lasnamäe district - prefabricated high-rise buildings in the Soviet style, which were built on the limestone plateau in the 1970s and 1980s.

Pae is located on the 10 kilometer long Laagna tee (“October prospectus” in Soviet times), a multi-lane, six to seven meter high-speed road that connects Lasnamäe with the city center of Tallinn. It is also called the "channel". The construction of a tram line was actually planned for the median, but this was never realized.
