was initially called de Laccu / vom See (Baldeggersee). 1236 for the first time de Baldecke closely based on Habsburg, many imperial political services: Hartmann II (recorded 1256–92) in the suite of King Rudolf I; Imperial bailiff of Basel, burgrave of Rheinfelden, caretaker of the Austrian foothills and bailiff in Burgundy. Hartmann III. (documented 1264–1330 / 31) Habsburg envoy to the Pope. A member falls on the Habsburg side at the Battle of Sempach. Marriage ties to the noble families: 1451 inheritance of Schenkenberg Castle from the Barons of Aarau, which they lose to Bern in 1460. Johann III. fought against the Confederates in the Swabian War. With him, the family died out in 1513. |

Originally located between Rosenfeld and Binsdorf , they formed a lordship around Geislingen (near Balingen), Dotternhausen , Bronnhaupten , Hausen aT and Roßwangen , which they supplemented with further pledges. Also included Falkenstein , Hettingen and Justingen , the latter of 1497-1530 to their possession. They were Austrian and Württemberg councilors.
