Honorary citizen
The award of honorary citizenship in the city of Delitzsch is regulated today according to § 26 of the Saxon municipal code (SächsGemO). For the first time, Saxon municipalities were able to appoint honorary citizens to the Kingdom of Saxony on the basis of the new constitution for the Kingdom of Saxony of September 4, 1831 .
