Manalapan is a city in Palm Beach County in the US state of Florida with 406 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
The city is located on an elongated island on the Atlantic Ocean . It is bordered by South Palm Beach to the north, Lantana and Hypoluxo to the west, and Ocean Ridge to the south . Florida State Road A1A runs through the city .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the 406 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 339 households. The population density was 338.3 inh / km². 92.4% of the population identified themselves as white , 3.9% as African American and 1.2% as Asian Americans . 2.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.2% to several ethnic groups. 4.7% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 56.5% of all households lived in 13.1% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 64.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.13 and the average family size was 2.55.
13.3% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 9.0% were 20 to 39 years old, 23.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 54.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 61 years. 50.7% of the population were male and 49.3% were female.
The average annual income was $ 235,625, with no one living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 98.54% of the population and 1.45% spoke French .

On December 23, 2002, the Eastover was entered on the National Register of Historic Places .

The crime rate in 2010 was 459 points (US average: 266 points) in the high range. There was one rape, three break-ins and 13 thefts.
