Maximilian "Max" Giermann (born October 24, 1975 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German comedian , impersonator , parodist, actor , presenter and theater director .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1995 at the Berthold-Gymnasium in Freiburg, Max Giermann attended the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin , where he graduated in 2001. During this time Georgo Peugot trained him to be a clown . He performed with Peugot under the stage name Max Million until his death , after which Jack Millet became his partner. After Peugot's death, Giermann took over the Comedy Kids clown group founded by Peugot and led it until the end of 2008. During his studies he already appeared in Berlin theater productions, for example at the Maxim Gorki and Carrousel theaters in Berlin. After completing his studies, Max Giermann had several engagements at German-speaking theaters such as the Schauspiel Essen , the Theater Bonn , the Theater der Stadt Aalen and the Volkstheater Wien . Today he occasionally directs the theater.

Since 2004 Max Giermann has mainly worked as a comedian. Among other things, he appeared regularly in the RTL show Frei Schnauze and had been part of the ProSieben show Switch reloaded team since March 2007 . In 2009 and 2010 he hosted grenades like us , where he slipped into the role of a different celebrity in each program. Giermann is best known for his talent for parodying other people. His most famous parodies include Stefan Raab , Dieter Bohlen , Johann Lafer , Kai Pflaume , Christian Rach , Hugo Egon Balder , Karl Lagerfeld , Reinhold Beckmann , Oliver Kahn , Tim Mälzer , Guido Westerwelle , Uli Hoeneß , Karl Dall , Oliver Geissen , Markus Lanz and Klaus Kinski . In 2009 he received the German Comedy Award for Best Actor and was awarded a special jury prize for “Switch Reloaded” at Romy .

In 2010, Max Giermann appeared as a parodist in some editions of the late night show Harald Schmidt . In 2011 and 2012 he was on tour nationwide with his first live program “Who else ?!” . In 2013 Giermann went crazy in the ZDF improv comedy ! to see. For the Wetten, dass ...? - Special by Switch Reloaded, there was the Grimme Prize in 2013 . Since 2014 he can be seen as Sigmar Gabriel , since 2016 as Donald Trump in the satirical magazine Extra 3 .

Since 2015 he can be seen alongside Matthias Matschke , Valerie Niehaus and Alexander Schubert in the ensemble in Sketch History on ZDF, where he parodies Klaus Kinski in various historical roles.

From 2016 to 2017 he was a juror in the RTL program Die Puppenstars .

In 2018 he moderated the RTL quiz show Einstein Junior - Germany's smartest kids .

Max Giermann has been married since July 2012.
