history
The exact year the original village was founded is not known. Since the place is not mentioned in the information of a revision from 1719, but the geographer Gerhard Friedrich Müller mentioned it in his Siberia travel report from 1739 as a village with a church built two years earlier, it is likely that it was built in the 1720s.
On April 4, 1924 Novosjolowo became the administrative seat of a Rajons named after him. With the flooding of the Krasnoyarsk reservoir in the 1960s, the village came under its water level and was therefore rebuilt in advance at a higher point not far from the old location. The new town received urban-type settlement status in 1962 , but lost it again in 1991.
