The Legislative Assembly of the Republic of El Salvador ( Spanish Asamblea Legislativa de la República de El Salvador ) is the parliament of El Salvador .

It only has one chamber . 84 members of parliament are elected for three years each.

Parliament building

The parliament has its seat in the capital San Salvador . In the past, the legislative assembly used a blue room ( Salón Azul in Spanish ) in the Palacio Nacional de El Salvador . The plenary hall in the new building is therefore called Salón Azul . Parliament has been meeting in today's parliament building since 1975.
