Primera División 1990/91

The Primera División 1991/92 was the 61st season of the highest Spanish football league . It started on August 31, 1991 and ended on June 2, 1992.

Defending champions FC Barcelona became Spanish champions for the 12th time. The Catalans were in pursuit until the last day of the match. Real Madrid lost 3-2 on the last matchday at CD Tenerife despite leading 2-0 and had to hand over the title to FC Barcelona.

At the end of the table, FC Cádiz managed to save themselves to a relegation place on the last day of the match with a 1-1 draw against Sporting Gijón. The victories of the two bottom lights RCD Mallorca and Real Valladolid were therefore meaningless.
