The seventeenth season of the German crime series SOKO Leipzig comprises 16 episodes and premiered on October 13, 2017 on ZDF. The finale aired on February 16, 2018.

The episodes of the season are first broadcast on Fridays at 9:15 p.m. and in some cases at 9:45 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

As in previous seasons, two episodes in the length of a feature film (90 minutes instead of the usual 45 minutes of an episode) were produced with Vaterliebe and Janika .
