The 2007/08 season was the twelfth and final season of the Super League , which was replaced by the multinational Continental Hockey League the following season . The championship title was secured for the first time by Salawat Julajew Ufa .

The 20 teams in the Superliga initially played against each other in a common main round, with each team playing 57 games this season. The 16 best-placed teams then qualified for the play-offs, in which the champions were played, while the other four teams had ended their playing time. Each team received three points for a win after regular time and two points for a win in overtime. A defeat after overtime earned one point and a defeat after regular time earned no points.
