Torfou is a municipality in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France in France . It has 272 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Torfou belongs to the arrondissement of Étampes and the canton of Arpajon (until 2015: canton of Étréchy ). The inhabitants are called goal foils .
geography
Torfou is located about 37 kilometers south-southwest of central Paris . Torfou is surrounded by the neighboring communities Avrainville in the north, Lardy in the east, Chamarande in the south and Boissy-sous-Saint-Yon in the west and north-west.
