Clifton Bailey Beach (*  16th September 1845 in Sharon Township , Medina County , Ohio ; †  15. November 1902 in Rocky River , Ohio) was an American politician of the Republican Party . March 4, 1895 to March 3, 1899 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 20th  congressional district of the state of Ohio.

Life

Clifton B. Beach was born on September 16, 1845 in Sharon Township, Ohio. In 1857 he moved to Cleveland with his parents . He attended the local schools there. He then studied law . He finished his studies in 1871. In 1872 he was admitted to the bar. From then on he worked in Cleveland. From 1884 he no longer worked as a lawyer. Instead, he worked in the private sector.

In 1894 he was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC as representative of the 20th electoral district of Ohio . Beach represented the 20th constituency there for a total of 2 legislative terms. In 1898 the Republican Party no longer nominated him, Fremont O. Phillips succeeded him. Beach returned to business before he died in Rocky River on November 15, 1902, at the age of 57. He was buried in Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
