The Beverīna District (Beverīnas novads) is located in northern Latvia in the historical Vidzeme region .
geography
The Abuls River flows through the rural area in an east-west direction. The western border is formed by the Gauja and the city of Valmiera .
population
The district consists of the three parishes (pagasts) Brenguļi, Kauguri, Trikāta. The administrative center is Mūrmuiža , which belongs to the Kauguri municipality. 3553 inhabitants (2010) live in the Beverīna district.
