Christoph Kaufmann (politician)

Christoph Kaufmann (born October 15, 1975 in Klosterneuburg ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). He has been a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament since 2016 .

Life

Christoph Kaufmann attended the lower level at the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Klosterneuburg , then completed an apprenticeship as a tourism clerk at the Higher Education Institute for Tourism in Vienna , where he graduated in 1995 . At the University of Vienna he began studying communication and political science and completed a university course in public relations , which he completed in 2001 as a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS). From 2002 to 2013 he was an organizational officer at the Lower Austrian Economic Association , and since 2013 he has been an independent consultant for public relations.

From 2013 to 2015 he was a councilor in his home municipality Klosterneuburg, where he has been a councilor since February 20, 2015 .

On November 17, 2016, he became the successor to Willibald Eigner in the XVIII. Legislative period as a member of the Lower Austrian Landtag.

He is a member of the executive committee of the Admiral Basketball Bundesliga (ABL). In May 2019, he was elected to succeed Johann Höfinger as chairman of the association Rettet das Kind Niederösterreich .
