The Divizia A 1940/41 was the ninth season in the history of the Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on September 8, 1940 and ended on August 31, 1941. The Divizia A was played this season for the last time before the Second World War . After a one-year break, two more unofficial championships were held.

aDue to the Second Vienna Arbitration , the city of Cluj fell to Hungary in early September 1940 . As a result, Universitatea Cluj had to move to Sibiu and from then on played as Universitatea Sibiu .
