The Divizia B 1999/2000 was the 60th season of the second highest Romanian football league . NC Foresta Suceava and Gaz Metan Medias got into the Divizia A on.

mode

The league was played in two seasons with 18 teams each. The two winners were promoted to Divizia A, while the last four clubs in both groups were relegated to Divizia C. There were three points for a win, one for a draw and no point for a loss. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, it was not the goal difference that decided , but the direct comparison .
