Half-timbered buildings in the GDR is the title of a stamp series dealing with half-timbered houses that was issued by the GDR 's Deutsche Post in 1978 and 1981 . The Lipsia catalog of the GDR describes this series as half-timbered buildings in the GDR , the Michel catalog calls the series half-timbered buildings .
