The 1975 stamp year of the Deutsche Post of the German Democratic Republic comprised 77 individual special stamps , two stamp blocks with one special stamp each and two miniature sheets with a total of nine special stamps. Six postage stamps were printed together. A definitive stamp was issued that year . A total of 95 motifs appeared.

All postage stamp issues since 1964 as well as the 2- mark values ​​of the definitive series President Wilhelm Pieck and the definitive series of State Council Chairman Walter Ulbricht , published since 1961, originally had unlimited postage validity . With the reunification after October 2, 1990, all brands lost their validity.
