The postage stamp year 1967 of the Deutsche Post der GDR was issued in 1967 by the Deutsche Post der GDR . As in the previous year , a block edition came to the counter, 3 stamps were printed together, and the third small sheet edition of the GDR Post appeared.

The year included a total of 83  special stamps , 1 block and 1 miniature sheet with a total of 89 motifs. The number of issues increased slightly compared to the previous year (1966: 77 special stamps). A surcharge of 25 pfennigs only had to be paid for the stamp pad. The face value of the issues was 19.85 marks.

Since 1955 , a value, and almost all were in most special stamp sets usually block and from 1962 appeared little sheet issues in significantly reduced edition printed. These so-called values ​​in small circulation were, apart from a delivery limited to two items per postal customer, on the first day of issue and on the first day after the expiry of the collection period, only with a collector's pass at the post office counters or via a direct purchase from the dispatch point of the Deutsche Post available in Berlin . In this brand year, the circulation of these values ​​was 1.5 million pieces. Block and miniature sheet as well as the blocking values ​​from the two sets for the VII. SED party congress were printed in a slightly increased edition of 2 million pieces.

Only the issue "XX. Internationale Radfernfahrt für den Frieden" and the definitive stamp were printed on paper with the watermark No. 3 ( GDR around Kreuzblume ); for all other brands, watermarkless paper was used.

All postage stamp issues since 1964 as well as the 2- mark values ​​of the definitive series President Wilhelm Pieck and the definitive series of State Council Chairman Walter Ulbricht , published since 1961, originally had unlimited postage validity . With the reunification after October 2, 1990, all brands lost their validity.

• Special stamps

After 1966 there were two-valued sentences again at the Leipzig Fair this year. Playing cards that are depicted on a four-value set are rarely found as a brand motif. The series “ Historical Buildings in the GDR ” and “ Famous Personalities ” began.

Issues with a political theme are quite dominant. Was the appreciation of the VI. SED party congress 1963 of the Deutsche Post of the GDR only worth a single stamp for 10 pfennigs, eight stamps in two editions propagated the politics of the SED and GDR government at the 7th SED party congress this year. The 50th anniversary of the Kiel sailors' uprising and the October Revolution in Russia in 1917 were also commemorated. The 15th anniversary of the establishment of agricultural production cooperatives in the context of forced collectivization also made its way into the brand image. However, the 450th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation was also honored by mail, which is remarkable given the atheistic state doctrine of the GDR.

For fairy tale lovers, a miniature sheet with motifs from Grimm's fairy tale King Drosselbart was sold in November 1967 . He continued the series of miniature sheets with fairy tale motifs , which had begun in 1966 and ran until 1978 , which was followed by two followers in 1984 and 1985 . The popular miniature Christmas sheet itself - designed with a wide variety of Christmas motifs from 1979 onwards - was to prove to be a constant in the GDR's issuance program until the last full year in 1989 . Only in 1969 and 1970 did the miniature fairy tale come to the post office counter in March and February respectively. The series “ International memorials and memorials ”, started in 1963 and running until 1989 with mostly one value each, was continued . The postage rates of 25 and, from 1974 , 35 pfennigs, which were almost exclusively used, were used to frank postcards and simple letters in international traffic, so that the anti-fascist state doctrine of the GDR was to be demonstrated abroad by post.
