Postage stamps from 1971 from the GDR Deutsche Post

The 1971 stamps issued by Deutsche Post of the German Democratic Republic comprised 75 individual special stamps and two miniature sheets with a total of 14 special stamps. Nine postage stamps were printed together; there was a pair with an interior decorative field. A definitive stamp was issued that year . There were a total of 99 different editions.

All postage stamp issues since 1964 as well as the 2- mark values ​​of the definitive series President Wilhelm Pieck and the definitive series of State Council Chairman Walter Ulbricht , published since 1961, originally had unlimited postage validity . With the reunification after October 2, 1990, all brands lost their validity.
