Gennes-Val-de-Loire (2016-2017: Gennes-Val de Loire ) is a French municipality with 8724 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saumur and the canton of Doué-la-Fontaine (the localities of Les Rosiers-sur-Loire and Saint-Martin-de-la-Place belong to the canton of Longué-Jumelles ).
Gennes-Val-de-Loire was formed as a commune nouvelle on January 1, 2016 from the municipalities of Chênehutte-Trèves-Cunault , Gennes , Grézillé , Saint-Georges-des-Sept-Voies and Le Thoureil . The administrative headquarters were initially in Gennes.
On January 1, 2018, Les Rosiers-sur-Loire and Saint-Martin-de-la-Place were incorporated. The administrative headquarters then moved to Les Rosiers-sur-Loire.

Gennes-Val-de-Loire is located about 25 kilometers east-southeast of the city center of Angers on the Loire . Gennes-Val-de-Loire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Ménitré in the north, Beaufort-en-Anjou in the north and northeast, Longué-Jumelles and Saint-Clément-des-Levées in the east and northeast, Vivy in the east and southeast, and Saumur in the south and south-east, Verrie , Dénezé-sous-Doué and Louresse-Rochemenier in the south, Tuffalun in the south-west and Brissac Loire Aubance in the west.
