Most of the vehicle parts are manufactured by the company's subordinate joint ventures inland in Indonesia. Indomobil also has the official sales channels in its hands. Some of the joint ventures, however, have so far only dealt with vehicle assembly for local sales.

The vehicles produced and assembled by the manufacturer are marketed in Southeast Asia and Australasia. So far, production has only been limited to a few thousand units a year. With a revised range of models, some brands are currently trying to make the vehicles more attractive for the local markets in order to consistently expand the company's market share.

The company's biggest competitor in the 1990s was the state-run Timor project. Currently the main competitor is the PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia .

Suzuki has existed on the Indonesian market since 1970 and, alongside the Japanese parent company, has developed into one of the world's largest automobile manufacturers of the brand. Just six years later, the production hall in Jakarta was completed, in which almost all the joint ventures of today's Indomobil group are currently housed. The companies are only legally subdivided under different names.

The first vehicles produced in Indonesia were the small car Suzuki Fronte and the minivan Suzuki Carry , which has been available in parallel since 1990 in a technically modernized version as the Suzuki Carry Futura and as a commercial vehicle under the name Suzuki Carry Extra . A more luxurious version of this was offered under the model name Katana in the early 1990s . 1985 Suzuki then established the second small car on the Indonesian market, the Suzuki Swift . However, this one had a facelift in the same year and from then on bore the model name Forsa . The successor generation, which rolled off the production line in the factory from 1990, was marketed in the hatchback version as amenity and in the notchback version under the name Esteem, which is used in most markets . In 1995 the identical models Vitara , Sidekick and Escudo competed with each other. The Baleno , on the other hand, developed into a traditional model , which has been able to win a large customer base over several generations.

Products exclusively for the domestic market are the Mitsubishi Maven and the Suzuki APV, which has been identical since 2008 and is now also available under the Suzuki label . The Suzuki Karimun Estilo , which is a sister model of the Nissan moco, has also been available here since 2007 .
