Klingen is a wasteland in the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) . Until 1972 it belonged to the Sankt Mang community , which came back to Kempten that year.

history

The place Klingen was mentioned early around 1365 and 1440.

In 1819, a year after Klingen had been connected with other localities to form the rural community of Sankt Mang , the only property had seven residents who belonged to the Lenzfried Main Team .

In 1900 there were four residents in the single courtyard. In 1954 there were still eight people living in the desert. In 1987 there was no count.
