The Rottachmühle

The Rottachmühle is a district of the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) . A first mention of the mill can be traced back to the year 1394. In 1618 there was another mention than in the Rottachmülin . In 1818 the Rottachmühle came to the rural community of Sankt Lorenz with the community edict . Milling took place in the mill until 1900.

On April 24, 1934, the Rottachmühle was removed from the rural community of Sankt Lorenz and connected to the city of Kempten together with other localities. According to the residents' statistics from May 1987, nobody should have lived there.

The Rottachmühle is listed as a monument. The Rottach Bridge , which is also protected, is nearby . In between there is a youth campground of the city youth association.
