Hub is a former hamlet in the city of Kempten (Allgäu) , which became part of an industrial park east of the federal highway 7 .
In 1453 a "ze der Hub" was mentioned. In 1525 tax law and lower jurisdiction were transferred from the prince monastery to the imperial city of Kempten.
In 1544 a new citizen of the city was recorded in the Kemptener Bürgerbuch, who worked as an arms smith at the Hub. In 1803 the Kempten Hospital owned two wood brands and a fiefdom in the Hub. In 1819, one year after the formation of the rural community Sankt Mang , Hub consisted of 5 properties with 25 residents. Hub was part of Leuba's main team at the time . In 1900 there were seven properties with 31 residents in Hub.
In 1954, 51 people lived in the hamlet of Hub. In 1972, Hub was reclassified to Kempten as part of the municipality of Sankt Mang .
