Lietava (Hungarian Zsolnalitva - until 1902 Ljetava ) is a Slovak municipality in the Žilina district .
geography
It is situated in the southwest of the Žilina boiler ( Žilinská kotlina ), about 12 kilometers from Žilina removed.
history
Archaeological finds have proven that the area was settled in the Neolithic and Bronze Ages.
The place exists since 1208, it belonged to the Lietava domain. After 1332 this is known as Provincia de Lytva .
Attractions
There is a Gothic church from the 15th century, the interior of which dates from the 18th century. Lietava Castle is also located in the municipality .
