Konská (Hungarian Kunfalva , until the end of the 19th century Konszka ) is a municipality in northern Slovakia with 1582 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) in Okres Žilina , a district of Žilinský kraj .
geography
The village of Konská is located in the southwestern part of the Žilinská kotlina basin at the end of the Porubská dolina , which extends into the Little Fatra . The 5.3 km² municipal area consists of brown forest soils and gravel sediments from the Porubský potok stream , a tributary of the Rajčanka . The center of the village is at an altitude of 455 m nm and is 18 kilometers south of Žilina .

The place was first mentioned in writing in 1350 as villa Kunzka , between 1888 and 1951 Rajecké Teplice was an official part of the village.
