The list of church buildings in the St. Wendel district lists all the churches and (larger) chapels in the St. Wendel district in northern Saarland . The district of St. Wendel is traditionally mostly strongly Roman Catholic. Protestant villages can be found today mainly in the Ostertal east of the district town and in the area of the municipality of Nohfelden , which used to belong to the Free State of Oldenburg .
