The basis is the register of immovable architectural and art monuments of the State Monuments Office of Baden-Württemberg drawn up on February 28, 1983, as of October 7, 1999 and two extensions from 2011.

In 1871 a column roof was added over the entrance door and the lead glazing, the roof and the outer facade with the sundial painted on it in 1780 were renovated in 1992–1995; since then, the Eligius Chapel ( Eligius , ( lat. the chosen one ), is the patron saint of wagons, blacksmiths, metal workers and horses) has had its current appearance. Former castle and fortress of Giessen The castle in Gießen , built as a tower hill castle , was a well-fortified moated castle in the Middle Ages , whose moat was constantly supplied with water from the Argen through a canal from Laimnau . The well-preserved castle complex is now privately owned and can therefore not be visited. It was given its present form in 1482. The gate tower, today's entrance to the courtyard, dates from the late 16th century.

Chapel “St. Joseph and St. Joachim ”with chaplain house The St. Joseph's Chapel in Tunau , commissioned by Count Hugo von Montfort, is on the way to Kressbronn; it was consecrated in honor of the saints Josef and Joachim on October 17, 1659 (year in the arched portal, above the Montfort coat of arms ) by the Constance bishop Franz Johann Vogt of Altensumerau and Prasberg ; on December 15, 1716, the St. Joseph's Brotherhood was established and the keeping of the Holy of Holies in the church began; on the ceiling of the chapel you can admire a painting depicting the death of St. Joseph; For a long time the chapel and chaplainry belonged to the parish of St. Martin in Langenargen, but in 1957 they came to the Kressbronn parish of St. Maria Hilfe der Christisten; the famous Romanesque lecture cross from the middle of the 12th century is in the Langenargen Museum.
In 1974 the chapel was renovated, in addition to the figures of the patron saint and the Mother of God, a figure of Mary and John has since been on display;
The former chaplain’s house, a two-storey stone building with a round arch portal and gable roof, was built around fifty meters west of the chapel and was built in 1728.
