List of players in the 2006 team
The list of players in the 2006 team gives an overview of all the players who played at least one game for the German national soccer team "Team 2006" - a perspective team of the German Soccer Association for the 2006 World Cup - between the first international match in 2002 and the breakup of the team in 2005 to have.

A total of 73 players were used, twelve of whom were able to register at least once on the list of goalscorers. Simon Jentzsch played seven of the ten games and is the team's record player in 2006. He is followed by Marco Engelhardt and Florian Kringe with six appearances each. The top scorer is Benjamin Auer , who scored four goals in three games. With Engelhardt and Bernd Korzynietz only two other players scored more than one goal.
25 players played in the German senior national team before, during or after their time with the 2006 team. The most A-internationals were played by Arne Friedrich (82), Mario Gómez (60) and Kevin Kurányi (52). Among the Team 2006 players, Gómez is the top scorer in the national team with 25 goals.
The clubs with the most players in the 2006 team were 1. FC Köln , Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart , each with six different players. Players from Werder Bremen had a total of 14 appearances, followed by Leverkusen, Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg , each with eleven completed games.
With Andreas Ottl , there was only one player from the record champions FC Bayern Munich . Three legionaries were also called up: Simon Cziommer from FC Twente Enschede from the Netherlands , Mustafa Doğan from the Turkish club Fenerbahçe Istanbul and Steffen Hofmann from SK Rapid Vienna from Austria .
