The Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid is a Mazda Premacy of the CR series with hybrid drive, which consists of a hydrogen-powered Wankel engine, an electric motor and a nickel-metal hydride accumulator .
It was sold for the first time in 2005 , and an improved version was shown at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show , in which the rotary engine is now installed transversely and a lithium-ion battery is used.
The hydrogen tank with a capacity of 110 liters at 350 bar stores up to 2.4 kg of hydrogen and is installed in addition to the 60 liter petrol tank. When the hydrogen is used up, the small Wankel engine switches to petrol operation. According to the manufacturer, the range with hydrogen should be around 200 kilometers.

From 2008 copies of the 2007 version are to be leased to selected customers. The schedule was not adhered to, as the first copy was only delivered to the Iwatani company in May 2009.
