Nandi County (until 2010 Nandi District ) is one of 47 administrative districts in Kenya . It is located in the west of the country and covers an area of ​​2,884.5  km² . In 2009 its population was 752,965, in 2019 it was already 885,711. The majority of the population belongs to the Nandi people . The capital of the county is the city of Kapsabet with about 22800 inhabitants .
