Sir Paul Edmund Vestey, 3rd Baronet (born February 15, 1944 ) is a British nobleman , businessman and former racing car driver .

family

He is the son of Sir John Derek Vestey, 2nd Baronet and his wife Phyllis Irene Brewer . Paul Edmund Vestey himself has been married to Victoria Anne Scudamore Salter since 1971 and has three daughters. In 2005 he inherited from his father the title of Vestey Baronet , of Shirley in the County of Surrey , which was bestowed on his great-grandfather on June 27, 1921.

He is a third cousin of Samuel Vestey, 3rd Baron Vestey , who is court official and chairman of the Vestey Group . Paul Vestey also holds significant shares in the conglomerate, which includes a food company. Vestey is very wealthy and one of the 100 richest people in Great Britain.

Automobile collection

Paul Vestey owns valuable automobiles from the brands Ferrari (including 250 GTO and 275 GTB ), AC Cobra and Lola . A Ferrari 375MM Berlinetta he owned was sold for £ 8.4 million in 2013 .

Racing career

Between 1965 and 1972 Paul Vestey was active as a men's driver in GT and sports car races . In 1966 he was overall sixth in the 1000 km race in Paris and in 1969 ninth in the 1000 km race in Spa-Francorchamps . He started three times in the 24-hour race of Le Mans , where his best place in the final classification was 12th in 1971 .
